Nazrul Anuar Nayan is a Senior Lecturer at the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Programme, National University of Malaysia (UKM), where he has been since 2008. Nazrul is currently the Director at the Centre for Alumni Relations of UKM.  He is a professional engineer with practicing certificate ( C115815), registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia.  From 1998 to 2005, he worked at Hitachi Ltd. Japan, Unisem (M) Bhd and as a Senior R&D Engineer at Stats ChipPAC (M) Sdn Bhd. During 2014 to 2016 he was a post-doctoral researcher at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering, University of Oxford, UK and a Research Member of Common Room, Kellogg College, University of Oxford . He received a B.Eng. from The University of Tokyo in 1998, an M.Eng. and D.Eng in Electronics and Information Systems from Gifu University, Japan. His research interests lie in the area of biomedical signal processing, nano materials and integrated circuit design/packaging. He has collaborated actively with researchers in several other disciplines such as medicine, economy and education. He is a certified HRDF trainer, a master teacher for project-oriented problem-based learning, business simulation and computational thinking (CT). Other than Malay and English, he is also fluent in Japanese. His other interest includes outdoor activities, travelling, reading and volunteering.
